Franke & The Knockouts was a rock and pop band led by Franke Previte. The greatest hit by Franke & The Knockouts was Without You (Not Another Lonely Night) which hit number 10 in 1982. His earlier hit, Sweetheart, also reached number 10.
Franke Previte wrote and recorded (I've Had) The Time Of My Life. The song was made famous by Bill Medley And Jennifer Warnes when used in the Dirty Dancing movie soundtrack. The older Franke & The Knockouts version was finally released in 1999.
