In The Mood was a very popular instrumental song made famous in 1940 by Glenn Miller And His Orchestra. In 1959, Ernie Field's Orchestra had a number 5 hit with the song. In 1977, Ray Stevens, under the group name Henhouse Five Plus Too, made a parody of the song featuring chicken sounds. A few weeks later, Glenn Miller himself updated the song. In 1989, Jive Bunny And The Mastermixers reached number 12 with a revamped version, entitled Swing The Mood.
