Electronic was an alternative music and dance music group. Electronic included singer Bernard Sumner who was also in New Order and guitarist Johnny Marr from the group The Smiths. Electronic also featured singer Neil Tennant from the group Pet Shop Boys. Since key members of Electronic came from these popular alternative music groups, Electronic was originally considered to be a side project, but the group lasted. The most popular song by Electronic was Getting Away With It, in both alternative music and pop music. No Electronic songs made either the pop top 20 nor the rock top 20.
