Indian Reservation was a song written by John D. Loudermilk, and first released in 1959 by Marvin Rainwater. The original title was The Pale Faced Indian. In 1968, the song hit number 20 by Don Fardon, reworked and renamed (The Lament Of The Cherokee). In 1971, Raiders hit number one with the song.
